    1. I watched the first movie at the cinema, and some time later actually went on to hire a super 8 film copy to show at home.
I only saw the other 2 films on VHS.

  2. Beautifully made a detailed models.
    BUT ...
Nowhere near as good a design as :-
    The Enterprise from Star Trek,
    The Liberator from Blake's Seven,
    The Eagle from Space 1999,
The Discovery from 2001 A Space Odyssey,
The Valley Forge from Silent Running,
    The Nostromo from Alien,
I mean, I could go on...

    1. Each to their own and I have to disagree. Designed by the late great Ralph McQuarrie, it's an aircraft carrier in space. The design works fine for its purpose. It's also fiun to spot the model tank kit parts all over the model! The only other space carrier I can think of is the USS Saratoga from the 1995 TV series Space: Above and Beyond, the design of which doesn't come close.

    2. To be honest Mish, I love it's reptilian design, and it certainly fits the bill as a massive space-going aircraft carrier.

  4. The remake takes the aircraft carrier idea and runs with it, most of the technical terms used are borrowed from the US navy carriers.
