Ooh, that stirs a faint teenage memory! I seem to recall owning one. I didn't care for it much, because it wasn't an accurate depiction. I remember the white plastic and as a 70's issue, I see the white plastic in this example has gone yellow. I have a 70's RC robot that has shared the same fate.
Surely it's for listening to Radio Maxwell (ep. 'The Cham Cham'), or KLA Pirate Radio (ep. 'Ricochet') !
