ReplyDeleteThat is SUPER! I'm very familiar with Jim Clouse's Battle Boards and have been tempted on numerous occasions to have him make one for me. I never realized the repo boxes were done up in a Spacex theme. I'm used to seeing Fort Apache, Marx Battleground, Alamo, etc.

The aesthetic choices are always difficult. Do you go for realism (as here) or do you go for a faux mass produced finish which looks more like something the factory might have produced?
I remember a store display for the FROG R101 airship kit which included the mooring tower. My childhood visit to a Kensington model shop had one on display with what I assume was a factory made terrain base.
Hmmm, factory made Point of Sale displays...
Maybe a future Moonbase post?
