The Googol Gear

My Son-in-Law sent me this science clip about an impossible gear.

I thought it was incredible so I'm posting it here.

See what you think.

  1. Maybe you could just wait long enough for the last gear to rotate and hope you've enough time before the 'heat death' of the universe as predicted by the laws of thermodynamics!

    1. Of course! I loved Hitch Hikers! Like the Kenny Everett TV show it was must-see TV for us young twenty something's in the early 80's. Or was it the late 70s? I wonder if Hitch Hikers spawned any toys?

    3. No, different cast. It was many years later. I wasn't a fan. It seemed to me to start off okay, then make up its own plot and then run out of time!
