Rob's Alien Toyscapes

Woodsy,

Here are six “Alien Toyscapes,” gouache on paper, all based on space toy photographs by Ed Berg.

Thanks to Ed for letting me use his photos as templates, this was a lot of fun.

Those are great, and really do look like they were painted in the 1950s. Well done.

  2. I agree, vintage looking masterpieces Rob. When you sent these I knew we had top billing for a SpaceX art day. They remind me of Lyons Maid ice cream or lolly cards and the last two could easily be on the backs of SpaceX/ GA backing cards. So good! Remind me, how big are they and where are they kept?

    1. Woodsy, these are small - 5" x 8" - and nicely tucked away in an envelope. I do think this type of imagery would look good on a big canvas, but I only work small now, due to space limitations. SFZ

    1. Actually, I was thinking Trading Cards might be a fun project. Info on the vehicle on back... Hmmm... SFZ
