ED SPACE: TALKING MOON GARAGES

Woodsy and Moonbasers,

Lordy, you don't know how much I've enjoyed your current Moonbase build! Super!

We talked a little about that garage and what would possibly fit inside the door and as you mentioned, the soap dish profile isn't as tall and rounded as the original Tri-Ang but even the original didn't allow anything more than the Terrain Tiger to fit inside.

Here's some stuff that might work . Mattel made space cars along with their other offerings and I thought these were too cool to pass up back in the day, having bought these just a couple of years after I started my blog.

  1. It's amazing Ed! I bought that very set of four offs eBay for our Grandson at Xmas! Spooky! Great looking vehicles from the mid- 90s I agree. They'd look good in a Thunderbird 2 pod as well!

I had some of these castings, but not sure if any were from the Space Series. From when I first began collecting die-casts in the 1990s.

  3. Glad you posted these Ed, I often wondered what the two boat like cars were. The six wheel Radar Ranger is cool, but I wish they wouldnt mix up the hot rod elements with other parts like the take with the pimped out exhausts! Bill

    1. I know what you mean Bill. On the one hand I get it when Mattel releases things like this for the kiddies, yet they do have the talent necessary to put out more 'serious' products. Oh well, it are what it is! :-)
