Is it just me or are Thunderbird 5 and the ring structure on Tracy Island the same shape?

I know I’m in the minority, but I think the original Thunderbird 5 is an exquisite, sublime design. I know “Fandersons” hate it because Gerry hated it, but I adored my old Imai model of TB5 for years. SFZ
