THE STEINWINTER LORRY OF TOMORROW

This German road-hugging truck is simply fabulous!

Straight out of Thunderbirds, this 1983 Steinwinter looks super duper slick.

Oddly I can't find any online footage of this amazing road train actually in transit.

Is it sadly vorgessen?

Do you like it?

Stunning. There are a few items on line. It also seems to have inspired the truck in The Highwayman TV series of the 1980s.

    1. I owe you some thanks.
I never heard of the Highwayman TV series.
      It sounds interesting.

As inspirations for drawing high tech trucks the Steinwinter is pretty amazing. So is Luigi Colani's futuristic truck.

And now I can go looking for trucks from The Highwayman!

      Thank you all!

(Yeah, and I thought the 1970s "Supertrain" was pretty cool too. Too bad the show was just "The Love Boat" on rails and got cancelled.)

  2. I do love a good futuristic truck, but I bet this one would be a nightmare on a sharp turn. Luigi Colani was a master of automotive design. Personally, I love the blocky AI driven trucks in the Logan movie. Bill

  3. Somehow, this beast also reminds me of Supertrain, that magnificent giant streamliner featured in the bomb TV show of the same name. Terrible program, terrific model though! SF_Z
