When I saw that photograph, my first thought was Supercar. So, yes, very alike. Had a quick look online. The Dinky normally has its Supercar lines hidden by a pair of large rocket pods above the wings, missing on the example in the photo, and a completely different canopy. Without these parts the similarity is much more obvious.
Youre seeing things. It was influenced by the Anderson esque Starcruiser Interceptor though

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, this is SO based on Supercar its not funny. The general lines, the wings, and of course that trademark nose cone!

ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of two things. Parts of the old Micronauts battlecruiser. Secondly, Supercar. I'm with the majority here, Supercar is the basis.
