Ha ha, the plastic grenade is a survivor from my own childhood, Woodsy. I loved this toy as a nipper: and still do. It was in many a battle in its day... and yep, it was designed to fire a cap. It's made from soft hollow plastic and was notoriously unreliable... often drifting off target in a mild breeze... which only added to the fun.
The mischievous little critter is Bat-Mite. I've attached a wiki link for you :)
ha ha, never heard of bat Mite! I'm learning too, which is what's great about Moonbase. We all help each other find out new stuff! I'm amazed Bat Mite is so old with a first appearance in 1959. Wow! he's a DC original. he reminds me of Big Daddy Ed Roth's Rat Fink for some reason! Wonder if they ever met?
Cool buffday card Tone! I so remember that toy grenade. It used caps didn't it? But who on earth is the little Batman pixie guy?
