Unlike Woodsy I have little or no interest in Martial Arts films,
although well after the fad had completely faded I did do some training in Lau Gar
Kung Fu, and sometime later in the Korean Martial Art of Taekwondo. Oddly
enough, it was my young son, Danny who wanted to attend classes with me when I was doing Taekwondo, as,
although he’d been born well over ten years after the short lived craze had
ended, for some reason he was very fond
of Martial Arts and all the paraphernalia that went with it.
During the nineties I used to regularly attend the Memorabilia
event at the NEC in Birmingham, and would always try to bring something back
for him, usually associated with his interest in Martial Arts.
This is one example, a 1:6 scale fully poseable action doll
of Bruce Lee, made by Creative Entertainment which was released in 1999
The doll is dressed in a Gung Fu outfit, and includes
nunchuku, a Tonfa and a staff. There’s also a decorative display stand.
The figure looks best when its tunic is removed and is able to adopt those classic Bruce Lee poses.

Cool figure that Scoop! Your lad was a lucky boy! They've caught the feel of Bruce really well when they designed that figure and the various accessories are superb by the looks of it. Bruce would have given my Action Men a run for their money even though they were masters of the lethal Gripping Hands style!
