Dig this!


Professional model maker Kevin Davies spectacular constructions are always a delight to see and this scratchbuilt Thunderbirds Mole is no exception! Wow!

  1. Very nice model. Looking like its studio scale I wondered if the Mole comes off It's trolley.

    1. Thanks, yes, it is studio scale (made from the same sort of bits used on the original, Aurora B58 Hustler, Airfix Girder Bridge, Revell Mercury Atlas, Faller Round Cafe and a resin copy of the Vickers Vigor tractor). The Mole does come off its trolley, as I nearly did sanding that drill!

  2. good old airfix girder bridge! Whats a Faller Cafe ?

    1. The Faller round cafe was a model railway accessory, a sort of 'trendy' diner above a petrol station, with panoramic windows. The floor of the cafe was the engine unit at the back of the Mole and some of its steps formed detail on the sides.
