Well Swordies, glad your'e all bloggin fine. Keep it up and well done Wote for keeping the cyberwaves rollin'. I'm marooned in Bradford at Woodsy Junior's Thackley Base and in need of a Snow Train and maybe a Moon Ranger or two! I'm going nowhere fast, car's snowed in, daughter's been sent home from work until further notice and Missus Moonbase's flight's just been cancelled! Must be winter! Well, at least we're all safe and warm. Next year we are just going to hibernate until Spring! How's everyone else coping with the arctic weather in the UK or further afield? Everyone safe?
rather annoyingly, im still able to get to work..
ReplyDeletesnow hasnt reached Mars Base yet!
About an inch so far in Sprout City here. And after last year's fiasco the local authorities have stocked up heavily on road salt, and haven't hesitated in generously spreading it round already. So it could be far worse than it is now, inching along amongst all the timid sunday-drivers-in-training that get spooked at the merest snowflake. Did manage a handbrake turn or two already, so I'm not complaining. :)
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies & best wishes to our Moonbase Commander & family, hope it'll sort itself out asap!

Report from base on the east coast. No snow at all, just bitterly cold wind!
ReplyDeleteIt's over ankle deep up here at base North (last night's temp reported to be -4F...that's lower than a domestic freezer!)and on the first bus I got home tonight the windows were iced over.....on the inside....second bus was better...I could just see my breath! Mrs Spectrum has just reported the snow back on.....looks like a Taun Taun tomorrow (Better pack my Force FX Lightsabre....)
ReplyDeleteBase Northampton reporting in...two inches of snow on the ground, been frozen solid like that for two days.
ReplyDeleteBloody freezing cold outside!
Take care all Sword Heads!
Here in the land of Santa we've come up from steady minus 15C to a cosy -3C. About 4 inches of snow, all white and Christmassy, icy too. Starting up my Arctic Sled to take a stroll downtown -
ReplyDeleteDo you really have a sled, Arto?
ReplyDeleteWe have snow here, and kicking my way through it to get to the local Hobbycraft made me feel like a kid again! Yay. And to think, 2 or 3 years ago the global-warmers were telling us we'd never ever see snow in the UK again. Hah! I'm doubly glad they were wrong .... one for the sheer wonderfulness of snow (hugs self in delight), and two so I can thumb my nose at them and say, "nyah nyah na nyah nyah"!
