The SUMMER of SWORD is nigh! To celebrate the start of the very first SWORD comic strip on June 24th 1967 (and thus where it all began) we will be having a blog party for a month from the 24th June. There'll be special features, articles, freebies and competitions. And naturally, there'll be lots of PROJECT SWORD! Set your calenders for June 24th and join the party!
Toad is hating summer but lovin' SWORD, so let's partey, dudes and dudettes.
ReplyDeleteSounds good!
ReplyDeleteSee you at the party Toad! :-)
I thought we'd had summer, about a week after Easter?
ReplyDelete'Semandcu'...tribe of egg-laying hominids from the highlands of the Blue Lands to the south!
Summer is a two-edged Sword! Could be Spring, could be Winter!
ReplyDeleteMaking jokes of that order ought to be punishable in some fashion, Woodsy ^_^
ReplyDeletePunishable by Arthurian challenge. Pull the sword from the stone and become the once and future King. Fail to remove it and be digitised forever to dwell in Simon Cowell's on-screen shadow.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of swords, in the film Lord of the Rings Boromir aka Sean Bean cuts himself on a shard of Narsil (Isuldur's broken sword). He whispers 'still sharp'. Is this an in-joke, a self-referential nod to the glories of his most famous role as the sabre-wielding Sharpe? Waddaya reckon?
