Britain is in the grip of a salted caramel craze, especially in cream cakes. I remember seeing it called taffee in Cape Cod when I was there. As for bacon ice cream. Nope. I can't mix savoury and sweet [except pancakes and bacon!], it's just not right! My Missus's favourite ice cream flavour as a kid in Europe was Waldmeister made from the herb of the same name. It coloured the stuff light green. In English the herb is Woodruff but I've never seen it used as flavouring here.
