One of the strangest contraptions to grace the space beneath the Christmas tree was the nail face maker.
Now it wasn't called that. I've made the name up because I can't name it.
Describing it is difficult too.
Basically it was a small hand held bed of nails which were blunted so that you could press it against your face, your fist or your chin.
This pressing displaced the nails on one side to create a reflection of the face or chin on the other like a metal hairbrush with shapes in.
You could also insert Action Man's head, dinky cars, Callisto's brain and so on.
More an experiment than a toy!
