The new series of the X-Files aired on UK TV last night at 9pm.
I was filled with nervous anticipation as the time approached.
The X-Files were one of the few modern TV series that meant a great deal to me. I was in my thirties first time round. I thought the early seasons back in the Nineties were just phenomenal and totally essential TV. You just had to be in and not miss it. Ever.
So as 9pm sounded and I heard that familiar opening music all my fears about a new look faded away. Despite being older - just like me - Mulder and Scully were back and I was a very happy boy.
I can't criticise this opening episode at all. It was all there: Fox and Dana, Skinner, aliens, Roswell, UFO's and even Cancer Man, now smoking through his neck!
I have great hopes for this new series and judging by this first episode it won't disappoint. The truth is out there and I'm a believer.
