Heh. Didn't know Lt Ellis was into industrial design? She's reading the November 1967 issue of Design magazine.

That's the one with the toy article in it (that has the Acrobates wrongly attributed as being invented by Lipkin instead of Ach).
(can't find the page she's actually lookin at, so must be an advert).

Serendipity indeed! Well spotted Paul. I've looked through the online magazine as well and can't see that page. There must be some missing from the online version. But what a small world! Bet that was the only subscription for Moon Base!
Well the first 15 pages aren't listed online, so will be adverts. I briefly had a subscription to Design in the 80s and I do recall they didn't much mix adverts and editorial pages. Nice product placement on the part of the Design Council though (or perhaps they cringed when they saw it on TV, who knows? :)
