These are a few photos I took a while back with my camera phone showing the excellent 1/200 scale weathered version Thunderbird 2 die cast model.
It’s a smashing model and a good size with plenty of detail - ideal for dioramas. Aoshima could have held back a little with the weathering on sections of the nose but all in all very nice.
As you can see this version comes with a Mole, all in scale - the plain version which I'll feature at a later date comes with a Thunderbird 4.
Any of you folks got any Aoshima stuff?

Just both 0X versions, and happy to hav'em! The TB2's may well enter my Bucket List (thanks Ed) since that's my favourite design of all time of the TB vehicles.
Nice pics Mike!
Cheers Arto
Superlative Scoop! I must get down to Glenn Field too! Pity Aoshima didn't make a die-cast Fireflash and Skyship One.
Theres a fine Fireflash model circling somewhere i believe..
Arto - hope your Bucket List is getting smaller :-) Mine got a tad smaller with the purchase of a Marx trains item last week.
Those are some great pics. It almost looks like they're real and ready for action. I wonder if I could take a diorama to Nellis and photograph it? hmmmm Oh well, it wouldn't be anytime soon anyway.
Excellent photos. I've got one of two versions of Aoshima's diecast Thunderbird 1. Taito also made awesome large plastic models of the 5 Thunderbirds and the Mole around the same time. Their TB2 is excellent.
Thanks Arto. Yeah, l love the TB2 design too, I'm sure I read somewhere that it was Gerry Anderson's favourite as well.
Thanks for the comments, folks.
A diorama at Nellis would be great, Ed- you'd have a natural backdrop- you have to watch you don't get arrested and marched off to the guard room, though.
Yorkie- stay tuned , I've got some pics of Taito stuff in the pipeline.
we knew it was a great idea bringing Mike on the team!
