Roll Up, Roll Up

A thoroughly desperate Monday morning was brightened most considerably this week, when I met a good friend on the way to work. I was presented with a fabulous gift as a souvenir from a european holiday, Although the item in question actually hailed from Manchester Airport, it did enjoy a cruise along the Danube and visited as far afield as Vienna and Budapest, before finding its way home to sunny Lancashire. The perfect gift for me, this neat little clockwork Fridge Rover is merely inches long and is fitted with powerful nagenets,
The simplest and smallest things being so often the most satisfying, this wonderful little rover adheres firmly to the fridge door and takes off, radar whirling, in a gravity defying trundle across the vast naked expanse of metal. In the week that Curiosity begins its trek across the martian landscape, my Fridge Rover is busily exploring the front of my fridge freezer!

So thank you Bovril - and say NO to hard butter! :-D

What a great gift to be handed in the street! Fridge Rover! A work of genius! Reminds of the Wallwalkers I had as a kid - still got two somewhere!

Cool! What a nifty toy :-)

Brilliant! Though your clip shows it's more "roll down roll down". Does it have enough power and grip for going up, or at least sideways?

Ha,ha - was on the way to work, in the car! Yes, it will happily roll up, down, sideways and even upside down!

So fitting for so many reasons!

So what's next, surveying the file cabinet?

Exploring the planet of paperclips?

Well, you have a fridge in the car apparently, which is more than most of us can say.

(and let's see you climb up your drainpipe after it gets stuck the way rovers sometimes do?)

And at least you won't have to climb up your drainpipes if it gets stuck, the way rovers sometimes do!

I'm so glad this little impulse buy has turned out to be such a hit. As soon as I saw it, I thought of you Wotan!
