Lego for the 21st Century

I've long been a fan of Lego, even from the days when it was simple bricks and plates and a few wheels. Since 2000 its evolved way beyond the normal run of the mill house building material, into a multitude of themes, catagories and thousands of specialist elements. the professional building fraternity is huge with dedicated fan following and a regular showing of amazing models. The proliferation of special parts means that amazingly detailed and complex models can be created, which in some cases can be difficult to recognise as Lego!
