Base Instinct
While Woodstocks blogging capability is temorarily SNAFU, Marsbase continues to keep the party rolling with a little help from fellow readers. Andy B has sent me a veritable treasury of snaps from the Marx series of space base toys from the late fifties onwards. Enjoy!
I can only assume these dropped out of santas sack somewhere over the continental US as they never made it under my xmas tree!

Beautiful sets on the tail end of the 'Golden Age' of space toys. That underground moonbase playset has me at 'hello'.
Yeah the moonbase set looks like fantastic play value. How much did these sets cost in the 50s and 60s? Were they quite expensive?
