Back in November last year I posted 'Run for your Lives' about the HG Toys version of the Space Glider. What I completely failed to notice at the time was their version of the Spacex Pleasure Cruiser pictured on the playset box! Well tonight I noticed it and can bring it your attention if, like me, you've never come across it before. It's basically a simple brown copy. This is what it looks like.
Here it is, albeit rather small, on the box of the HG Toys 1980 Alien Attack as featured over at the ubercool Plaidstallions site. Here it is again on the similar HG Toys 1979 Space Wars playset as pictured again over at the Plaidstallions website.
I've also found some close-ups onlineof what are elements of either of the two HG Toys sets including a veritable hive of little silver WOTANS being rounded up!

ive seen the cruiser before in an unidentified ebay auction. Funny thing is, the silver figures next to the league of Wotans are the same as the Matchbox space figures from the Raider Command set!

Intriguing little collection with the Cruiser as the jewel. I note that on the playset website there's also a space car not unlike the Apollo Explorer toy(and the larger Bluebox one)as part of the set.
Oops! I notice you already cover that in the 'Run for your lives' post - I really must pay attention.
I've seen those before, but unfortunately always in US-only offers. If anybody has one for sale or swap?

They are copies of the Matchbox, but a slight quality drop-off and a softer etheylene.
The Cruiser is my favourite of the SpaceX designs, so I'd love to have one of these brown versions.
The tinrobots site has a thread on spacemen and a post about unknown spacemen. Wotan! Woot! Very cool, very rubbery, very suction-cuppy, very Hong-Kongy!
