This cool shot has been kindly shared by reader Sean. From the Thunderbirds Are Go prmotion in the window I would say it's circa 1966. So what can you see in the display?

If my parents had walked me past that display, I'd have said "Just leave me here -- I never want to be anywhere else!"
It is very late 1966, probably December, when the 'Thunderbirds Are Go!' film was released. There are some publicity photos dotted around.
The C21 Toys feature heavily, as do the Fairylite dolls. I think at the back is a jigsaw, and a Craftmaster set. I'm quite impressed with that Thunderbird 1 though. I wonder if that was constructed by the shop staff, or if it was a publicity item that they sent off for?
Awesome! Great find.
This is Bagnalls shop in Stafford. They were a very big model and toyshop then, being specialists in model railways.Still in business today.
Looks like a boxed Berwick playsuit and the two Cecil Coleman puppets of Scott and lady P as well!
An amazing shot!!!!

Hi, Unfortunately Bagnalls models shut it's doors for the last time a few years ago. I worked there from 1970 for some 17 years, the windows were a highlight for Stafford children, especially at Christmas. I have put below a link to a Facebook group I’m trying to get going, I would be grateful for permission to use this picture in the group.
