Rummaging in the loft for ebayings I found an old Matchbox 1992 Tracy Island. Now that was THE toy of Xmas 1992, a second wind for Thunderbirds for sure. It went ballistic after Blue Peter showed every kid in the country how to make a Tracy Island out of a toilet roll and a bag of crisps! Well, I couldn't resist.... hang on, another steamy bit on Mad Men!........yep, couldn't resist adding a few Swordy craft to it and creating Sword Island! Totally out of scale but lotsa fun PS. The Thunderbird 3 is a Tarheel Nova Rocket!

if anyone wants a copy of the instructions for the 1992 cardboard island lemme know and I'll dig them out, scan and email them.

and if you search You Tube you will see the Tracy island being made.
