MOON PIE ON MY WAGON

Ever since I heard a reference to MOON PIE in a film ( The Green Mile?) I've been secretly fascinated as to what they taste like. Why I never though of looking on Wikepedia before, I don't know but it turns out I've been eating Moon Pies forever! We have them here in the UK. They're just called WAGON WHEELS instead as pictured below! Mmmmmm. Deelicious. I'm sure they've got smaller though (or have I got bigger?). Nowhere near as many flavours as the Moon Pie comes in though! Sound fabulous.

Well I never. I imagined Moon Pie as something like Lemon Meringue.

You probably have got bigger, Woodsy. But Wagon Wheels have also got smaller. Biggest biscuit in the West? Well, maybe ... :)

The packaging of the biscuits is much amazing and wonderful. It has also a great and fabulous taste simply super delicious.

But is a Wagon Wheel/ Moon Pie actually a biscuit? Or is it a cake? It can be eaten with both tea AND coffee, which suggests it could be both. Hmmm?

It's the Jaffa quandary all over again, isn't it :)

The advertisers of Wagon Wheels appear to have considered it a biscuit, if the song is anything to go by. Me, I don't care which it is as long as I have some: a treat by any other name would taste as sweet :)

Just come across something interesting. In episode 5, season 3 of The Big Bang Theory, "moon pie" is used as an insult.

The line is spoken by Wil Wheaton (yes, *that* Wil Wheaton) playing himself:

"I call my mee-maw nana. And she’s going be very happy to hear that my small rock kills your enchanted bunny. Game over, moon pie."

My mate thinks I should be in the Big Bang theory. Is that a compliment or is he a moon pie too?
