The thread (of posts) I enjoyed following the most was the Submarine Aircraft Carrier, from Wotan's memory, to Barry's Garage to Ferryman's display shelf. The post I enjoyed writing the most was Moonship Meltdown in Oct 2008, simply because it was the first bit of decent research I'd done for the blog. Thanks to everyone who has contributed over the year, even if you just read the blog!
WOTAN These are probably my top 4 posts - although there are a couple of mine in there and it might appear a bit self-congratulatory, its the connections to the posts that I like - the Nuclear Ferry Definitive article came about after I asked space expert David Portree to look over the blog and he almost immediately spotted the ferry and id'd it. Take me to your Leader opened up a line of communication between myself and cereal premium expert Astronit and my knowledge of this field expanded exponentially overnight! Ferrymans fabulous carded Spacex 2 items took me right back to the seventies and those hazy days when I first saw my first second series craft - the Booster Rocket - and made me wish I hadnt opened the damn thing and eventually painted it! arrgh! Mike Burrows/ Philosophic Toads discoveries of the all the fab TV21 artwork with the origins of spacex craft blew me away as it was such gorgeous art and an insight into the design of the toys! Finally, my top favourite must be the sequence showing the semi-mythical Submarine Aircraft Carrier as it emerged from memory to drawing to half-lost toy in the back of Barry Fords garage tot he nail biting ebay auction and eventually to restoration at the skilled hands of the Ferryman!
